This week was absolutely amazing!  It was a blast planning the luncheon for over 40 people.  Seeing everyone enjoy themselves and getting to know some people better was fantastic.  This week was an eye opener for me because I realized a couple things on the job.  I started doing some research on Blake Mycoskie, who is the founder of Tom’s shoes.  While doing this research, I was overwhelmed with joy and passion for eventually doing something similar to what Blake is doing.  Seeing kids get shoes for the first time and seeing their smiles is something I can’t get out of my mind.  I don’t know where this passion will lead me, but it feels very good to be an environment where I can start throwing ideas around and see where they end up.  Having a business plan that helps a cause is definitely something that I would love to do.  Simon Sinek said it best, “people don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it.”
